Albie1, check that link I posted above for common 1000 yard rounds. That list is coming up on a year old, but I don't believe it has changed much.

Selous, Would you share a few details about your rifle and your choice of caliber? The 6.5 x 284 appears to be quite popular with target shooters, but I have never heard of one "in the field." Tell us about it please.

i dont understand the 6.5x284. other then the length of the bullet. i am trying to learn about long distence shooting. mr jim is right ,this is getting to be a very pop cartrige. why is this your choice.
