In accuracy and velocity the TSX's were very good in my 257Wby but not in the field on taking game. Only one deer shot left a little and I mean little blood trail the others did not. In the thick pine woods I looked for one for 2 hours and 20 minutes. I hit him in the chest at 354yds and he still went 80yds. I do not have this poor field results with Accubonds, Partitions or Sierra Game King. All five TSX shot out of my 257Wby were in the heart and lung area. The only deer that went down where I shot him was one I hit with my 300wby and that was because the TSX deflected off a rib and went through the spin. I have had similar results on hogs and black bear.
These are field result and not theory. I am a very good shot and I place all my shots with the TSX's where they were suppose to go and those who know me know I hit where I aim. I do not like the TSX period and have given up on them before I loose some trophy using them. I am not the only one who hunts a lot and takes a lot of game each year that has experienced what I have with the TSX. If you like them of course you should keep using them but I don't like them and I won't use them anymore.
The TSX is not a great improvement over the X and the reasons for little blood trail and game running most of the time before going down has to do with the wound channel. Note the wound channel of the XBT and I did not get any better results when using the TSX. When cleaning the animals the wound channel is the problem. I did not say the TSX does not kill the game, all I am saying is that it is not as quick and efficient killer on the average as the Partition and the Northfork has the superior wound channel.
